Museum of Minerals and Rocks of Greece "Prof. Eleftheria Davi"
The Museum of Minerals and Rocks of Agricultural University of Athens comprises minerals, ores and quarries of Greece in combination with not exploitable minerals and rocks (scientifically ineteresting), representing the mineral wealth of our country.
The Museum has been established on 25/06/1996 (Triptolemos, Issue 5/1997).
Specifically, in the Museum are being exposed:
Professor Eleftheria Davi served as Professor and Head of the laboratory of Mineral and Geology between 1970 and 1990.
In 1946 she got a degree in Natural Sciences of University of Athens, while in 1950 she obtained her PhD in Petrography.
Additionally, in 1955 she obtained a second PhD in ETH Zurich.
In 1992-93, she was a member of the Commitee of IUGS for nomination and classification of metamorphic rocks.
Climax in her achievements and international recognition in the Petrology sector constitutes her nomination as an "International Woman" in 1992-1993, title given by the International Biographical Center of UK

- Chromites
- Bauxites
- Minerals of Aegean Sea (Native Sulfur, gypsum, barite)

- Rocks rich in fossils
- Marbles
